The Infographics Show - "Why 2025 Will Be The WORST Year Ever" Preview and Criticism

By: Shane Lambert

The Infographics Show, which is a popular channel on YouTube, had an interesting upload from about a month ago. "Why 2025 Will Be The WORST Year Ever" is a video the channel uploaded in the late part of 2024. Primarily discussing America, the 26-minute show concludes "As things stand, we are getting sicker, sadder, fatter, angrier, more divided, and lonelier."

Obviously, this isn't a video for someone looking for a big pick-me-up. However, I did think that they were talking about facts and truth so maybe it's a video we should all watch. While they mainly talk about the USA, I think the video has insight into other countries for sure.

Channel: The Infographics Show
Title: Why 2025 Will Be The Worst Year Ever
Date: December 18th, 2024

Near the start of the video, the narrator discusses death rates in the USA -- and the fact that they have not improved since the end of the pandemic. America was called "the Grim Reaper's favorite workplace" due to the spike in deaths that the country has seen.

Personally, I think a lot of people are post-pandemic right now. By that, I do not mean to say that the pandemic is history for them. Instead, I mean that they are still in the after-effects of having their lives uprooted from March 2020, when COVID restrictions went viral, to late 2022, when things were somewhat back to normal.

How did things go for people in late 2022 and early 2023? I think this is a time frame when you could once again hope to find a job. However, at this time anyone unemployed had to take the first job that was offered to them.

I was definitely like that and the first job I was offered was not a great one. It ended up being short-term but the first long-term job I had wasn't all good news either. Certainly, in 2022/23/24, I was not in the position that I was in at the start of 2020, before the pandemic restrictions went mainstream. I think there are a lot of people out there who, while they survived the pandemic, have yet to get back to their former glory and that this is one of the reasons why the post-pandemic period has been unstable.

There were a lot of interesting topics discussed in this 26-minute video at The Infographics Show. One interesting part was when they discussed social media and self-harm. Apparently, America's Surgeon General said that social media should have warnings about mental health effects, not unlike the warnings on cigarette packages (the screenshot below is from the video).

In early 2025, Vivek Murthy, the Surgeon General also advocated warnings be put on alcohol. It seems that you should avoid cigarettes for the toxic fumes, alcohol for causing cancer, and social media for toxic people.

I have no plans of reviewing everything the video talked about. However, the following quotes come from the video: "political polarization," "chronically lonely," and "ultra-processed food." The video also came with a suicide helpline, which I think YouTube selected because of the topics discussed.

One criticism of the video need not be framed as having the benefit of hindsight. 2025 is certainly off to a terrible start for the USA, in part because of the wildfires in California. At the time the video was produced, the wildfires had not started but I would say that a forthcoming environmental catastrophe has been building for quite some time. Any 'doom and gloom' video can't ignore the topic, yet The Infographics Show's episode mainly talked about political polarization, loneliness, social media, mental health, processed foods, and other topics.

But you can judge for yourself. If you want to watch the whole video, then it is embedded below for you.

Ramona Lynn Fey (Attempt to Match) - Missing Since 1995 After Self-Harm

Details from a government source (might be paraphrased): Ramona Lynn Fey left her sister's residence in Spanaway, WA after she, Ramona, cut her own throat. She was later involved in a single-vehicle car accident at Mount Rainier National Park and had to be towed from a ditch. Her car was later found in Mount Rainier National Park with the door open and the engine running. Witnesses saw her on a trail in the park. An extensive search failed to locate the MP. She may have had brown-wire-rimmed glasses.

Commentary and Research

By: Shane Lambert

Ramona Lynn Fey has not been seen since July 17th, 1995. Her vehicle was found in Mount Rainier National Park, making her a case of "Car found person missing," which is a popular tag on this blog.

This missing person case is not as clouded in mystery as some other ones. In my opinion, suicide is the most likely reason for her disappearance. However, the whereabouts of her remains is the question at hand.

The journalism on this missing person, by my research, started on July 19th, 1995. A short blurb appeared in The News Tribune out of Tacoma, Washington. She had left her car running in the park's parking lot, which shows some indifference to the vehicle. That may have been a call for help.

This individual was depressed and had a doctor for the matter. A blurb written a day after the one below stated that she had stopped taking her medication. The family described the woman as mentally ill and possibly suicidal.

Has Ramona Lynn Fey been found?

There is a chance that body parts of hers were found on September 13th, 2013. Some human remains were found on that day that have not yet been linked to an individual yet.

The NamUs Unidentified Person is #12200. The authorities are uncertain of the sex or other details of these body parts. However, I will point out that the coordinates given for where Ramona Lynn Fey was last seen and the coordinates of the body parts that were found are extremely close to one another when I pull them up on Google Maps. I'm not sure if this has to do with just a kind of "default" coordinates for the area or not.

The missing person has a webpage at Ancestry. There is a separate picture there of her which I decided to publish here. It may show the glasses that are associated with her case. Also, there appears to be a mole on her chin/cheek. Her date of disappearance is listed as her date of death at Ancestry, suggesting that her family members are satisfied to some extent that she died at the time of her disappearance.

Edward Konrad Ludwig -- Missing From Banff National Park Since 1986

Details from Canada's Missing**

"On May 30, 1986, Edward Ludwig left his work site at Bow Valley Provincial Park, AB, to go boating on Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park, AB. Mr. Ludwig was despondent when he left. His vehicle was located at Lake Minnewanka, AB and an unoccupied boat was found floating on the lake."

Missing Person: Edward Konrad Ludwig
Last-contact date: May 30th, 1986 (Friday)
The area where the MP was last seen: The Lake Minnewanka area of Banff National Park, less than ten minutes driving north from the town of Banff.
Link to government source: MP @ Canada's Missing

VITAL DETAILS

Ethnicity: Caucasian
Sex: Male
Age at time of disappearance: 27 years old
Birthdate: Edward Konrad Ludwig was born between May 31st, 1958, and May 30th, 1959 based on his reported age at the last date of reported contact.
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Scar: Chin
Height/weight: 6'3" and 194 pounds
BMI*: Edward Konrad Ludwig was in the normal range for BMI.
Tattoos: Edward Konrad Ludwig had no tattoos associated with his profiles.

No one has heard from Edward Konrad Ludwig since Friday, May 30th, 1986, when he was 27 years of age. This individual has now been missing for about 39 years as of early 2025.

His car was found near Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park. This town is near the town of Banff and it is just 20 minutes or so driving west from Canmore, which is the town that Ludwig is missing from.

What stands out about this case is that he was reported to be "despondent" in his profile at Canada's Missing. Furthermore, his vehicle was found at Lake Minnewanka, and his empty "boat" was floating in the lake. The location of his boat, which was actually an inflatable raft according to journalism from 1986, is interesting because it really sounds like he fell in the lake or, perhaps, killed himself at the lake.

There was a search of the area with dogs and divers employed. The missing person was a park ranger whose father was a judge, so I think a very diligent search would have been performed.

03 Jul 1986, Thu Calgary Herald (Calgary, Alberta, Alberta, Canada) Newspapers.com

Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake, meaning that it is fed by melting snow off of the caps of the mountains in the area. You do not go into Lake Minnewanka unless it's absolutely at the peak time of summer. Even then, you would only go in the lake for about a minute, and if you don't mind a chill afterward. The water is very cold at this lake, and on May 30th, the day in 1986 when he went missing, the water would have been absolutely frigid. Even if it was a warm day for the region, it's the melting snowcaps that flow into the lake, and the water would still be freezing.

I waded in this lake in the summer of 2020. My feet were hurting from the lake-water temperature in only minutes. I didn't enter the water fully. But I noticed that people who did enter the lake only waded for moments although it was the summertime. The following video is one I made at Lake Minnewanka that day. Notice, that I can't stop talking about how cold the lake is.

When I read the case details, I don't see his raft drifting out to the middle of the lake without him in it. Furthermore, I don't see someone going out with him and then pushing him in and swimming to shore. The lake is so cold that even short swims in May would be incredibly risky. Whether he fell in the lake by accident or attempted suicide, someone submerged in Lake Minnewanka would be at risk of hypothermia.

To me, suicide via Lake Minnewanka doesn't sound like a comfortable death. However, it is hard to look past Canada's Missing description that states that this individual was despondent for some reason.

Furthermore, I found no headlines mentioning suspected foul play in this case. Lastly, I lean toward suicide because this man was a park ranger and would have understood the risks of going out on the lake at that time of year. For sure, he would have been aware that he should not have entered the water if he cared about his health.

If a male drowns in a lake, then there is a known process that usually occurs. The individual sinks as water replaces oxygen in his body cavities. Then, the organisms that are still alive in the body continue to produce gases. These gases help bring the body to the surface. It's at this point when the body might be found and this initial process can take about a week. However, eventually, the gasses will be released and the body will sink -- perhaps for ages.

Women go through a similar process when they drown. However, extra body fat, especially in busty women, can help them float.

Finding Edward Ludwig now would mean staying open-minded to the possibility that any human remains found in the area are his. Due to how much time has passed since 1986, his body might not be intact.

Patricia Hubbard -- Missing Since February 2008

Details from NamUs**

Patricia was reported missing on 2-9-08.

Missing Person: Patricia Hubbard
Last-contact date: February 9th, 2008
The area where the MP was last seen: Louisville, Kentucky, 7300 block of Dunkirk Lane near the Dixie Highway
Link to government source: NamUs #MP1696

VITAL DETAILS

Ethnicity: Caucasian
Sex: Female
Age at time of disappearance: 53 years old
Birthdate: between February 10th, 1954 and February 9th, 1955
Hair: Blond/Strawberry, shoulder length
Eyes: Brown
Scar: Left knee (limped from a knee injury)
Height/weight: 5-foot-7 and 120 pounds
BMI*: Patricia Hubbard was in the normal range for BMI.
  • Please, Google-search BMI if you aren't familiar with the phrase. I think it's an important tool to be aware of when working on missing person cases.
Patricia Hubbard, a missing person, was last heard from on February 9th, 2008 when she was 53 years old. She has now been missing for 13 years as of the original publication date of this blog post.

CharleyProject appears to have done some research on the circumstances in her life surrounding her disappearance. I recommend reading those at the following link: CharleyProject's landing page for Patricia Hubbard.

As for finding Patricia Hubbard, Websleuths or amateur investigators can look through the Jane Does at the various websites, like NamUs or DoeNetowrk. You would be looking for someone who was found on or after February 9th, 2008 for starters. Also, you would want someone who was thought to have died at about the time that Patricia Hubbard went missing. If dealing with skeletal remains, this missing person had knee surgery on her left knee. Ground zero, in this case, is Louisville, Kentucky, particularly the 7300 Block of Dunkirk Lane off of the Dixie Highway.

Clothing and articles/items that a missing person was last associated with can be important. If, for example, a Jane Doe is found, knowing what the missing person had in her possession might expedite a match. While DNA and dentals will always be the best way to conclude a match, the former can be very expensive. It's best to narrow down the field of candidates to make the process of identification more efficient.

There were a couple of articles or possessions that were associated with Patricia Hubbard. Please, take note of the following: blue jeans and a pink sweater. One odd detail with this case is that Patricia's husband committed suicide a few months after Patricia's disappearance.

Darian Michelle Hudson -- Missing Since October 2017

Missing person: Darian Michelle Hudson
Alias: D or DBaby
Last-contact date: October 26th, 2017 (Thursday)*
Disappeared from: northwest of Stillwater, Oklahoma at the intersection of Country Club and McElroy

*October 26th, 2017 is according to a Facebook post from her group.

Link to Government Source: NamUs #MP40719

Ethnicity/Race: Black
Sex: Female
Age at time of disappearance: 23 years old
Hair: Black
Eye color: Brown
Height and weight at the time of disappearance: 5'3" and 120 pounds
Tattoo: As pictured
Clothing: White t-shirt, jeans
Piercings: Nose and ear

Circumstances as per Kake.com:

"Stillwater Police have been searching for Darian Hudson since Oct. 22, 2017. She was suspected missing after not showing up for work.

Detectives in Stillwater...were able to track Darian’s movements through the evening of Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017. On that date, she was last seen sitting in a wooded area and walking toward an intersection northwest of Stillwater.

'A Human Recovery Dog and handler were brought into the area on Monday, December 4,' Stillwater Police shared online. 'For two days they searched a large portion of the wooded area south, east and west of the intersection. Some of her belongings were found abandoned in the area but Darian was not located. At this point police have no leads indicating what has happened to Darian or where she may have gone after being seen on the 26th.'

Darian was in the process of moving to Kansas.

Family and friends told police that Darian does not have a vehicle. She may be suffering from a mental health crisis."
By Kansas, specifically, they meant Wichita, Kansas. If you are tweeting this case, then use Hashtags for that city.

Police were alerted to the "wooded area" mentioned above after they discovered someone that tried to use her debit card. This person, a male, stated "he found the card in a purse near the construction site of a church in Stillwater."

I'm sure the police would have had some questions for this person. For me, there is the question of how he planned to use the debit card without the PIN. It seems pretty futile to try and guess it.

This case detail, where someone was discovered trying to use a missing person's bank card, is similar to the missing person case of Emma Filipoff. That case is from Vancouver Island and involved a purchased debit card, the kind you get at the store with a balance on it. In Filipoff's case, the individual who used her card had found it after it had been discarded or lost.

The man that took her bank card said that he took it from a purse in October 2017. He tried to use it in December 2017. In my opinion, taking a card from someone's purse and then trying to use it involves Mens Rea. In contrast, the individual who found the debit card in Filipoff's case does not, in my view.

The best news source I found on this missing person's case is from NBC: Read More. All descriptions, in this case, suggest despondence and themes of depression involving the missing person. Those factors would make a reasonable person think that the potential for suicide is in play with Hudson but it's important not to be closed to other possibilities.

If you read the playing card below, there is a caption that reads "INMATE ACCESS #20." I'm taking that to mean that these are playing cards that are distributed to prisoners. The 5 of hearts in the deck is Darian Hudson.

Ronald Orton Desmeules -- Missing from Squamish Since September 1995

Missing person: Ronald Orton Desmeules
Last-contact date: September 14th, 1995 (Thursday)
Disappeared from: Squamish, British Columbia

Link to Government Source: Canada's Missing 2008015399

Ethnicity/Race: White
Sex: Male
Age at time of disappearance: 33 years old
Birthdate: August 20th, 1962
Hair: Short, brown
Eye color: Blue
Height and weight at the time of disappearance: 5'6" and 161 pounds
Clothing: Pink muscle shirt, brown moccasins, denim blue jeans
Scars: Right wrist and right foot

Description from Canada's Missing: "Ronald Desmeules was living in Red Lake, Ontario. While working through some personal issues, Mr. Desmeules traveled to Squamish, British Columbia in September of 1995. On September 14, 1995, while staying with family, he left their residence, and has not been seen or heard from since."

Commentary: The case of Ronald Orton Desmeules isn't one that I was able to find a lot of information on in the time that I had allotted for it. However, the description from Canada's Missing claims that his individual had some "personal issues" at the time of his disappearance. That might lead some to speculate that he may have committed suicide. Whether the scar on his right wrist is from a previous attempt or originated in a different way is a matter that could be looked at. Even if he was a danger to himself at the time of his disappearance, there's still the question of where he went.

One thing that could be thought about with this case is the clothing that Ronald was last seen in. What could it mean when someone goes out in public dressed in a pink muscle shirt, moccasins, and blue jeans and then never gets seen again? The footwear is certainly not someone heading out to the rugged trails that you find around Squamish. It would suggest only a short walk and that calls further into question how exactly he went missing. One question to look at would be his access to a vehicle.

In my opinion, the clothing, especially the moccasins, suggests someone that left the place where he was staying in an impulsive way. It reminds me of missing teenagers that were last seen after arguments with their parents. Under these conditions, teenagers often leave with whatever indoor footwear they had on at the time or whatever was easiest to put on quickly.

This is a case that may require a family member to open up about details before Websleuths or amateur investigators can research more. I found no Internet-based news articles or newspaper articles.

Daniel Kaiser-Küblböck -- Missing at Sea Since September 2018

Author: Shane Lambert
Original Time of Writing: January 12th, 2021

Tue, Sep 11, 2018 – A12 · The Province (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) · Newspapers.com

All articles are subject to editing after the original posting.

Missing person: Daniel Kaiser-Küblböck
Last-seen date: September 9th, 2018 at about 5AM in the morning
Last-seen location: Off the coast of Canada while on a cruise ship

Ethnicity/Race: Caucasian, a German national
Sex: Male
Age at time of disappearance: 33 years old
Hair: Brown
Eye color: Brown

Daniel Kaiser-Küblböck went missing after jumping overboard from a cruise ship early in the morning of September 9th, 2018. This happened at sea with the closest country being Canada.

The Canadian authorities executed a search for the German pop singer, however, they were not able to locate him. It's unlikely that he would have survived very long in the water, even if he was intact enough to swim after jumping from the cruise ship into the sea. The search focused on a nautical area about 200 kilometers north of St. John's. It was ended on September 11th, 2018.

Ocean currents are very difficult for experts to predict. Those that try will usually work with averages.  If you took two identical objects and placed them side-by-side in a sea or ocean then they would drift apart immediately and, if they went to shore, then they could still be very far apart. There is simply no telling where any of the missing person's remains might have ended up. Like a lot of missing person's cases that involve being lost at sea, this isn't one that Websleuths or amateurs should be devoting much attention to.

In fact, there are missing person's cases where the people went into the water due to a wave that encroached the shoreline. In one case, two people who are missing for nearly 20 years were 'lost at sea' when they were at a well-known beach. If people who get lost at sea from a beachside last-known location can't be traced, then it's super-futile to try and trace someone who is lost to the ocean hundreds of kilometers from civilization. It will take incredibly luck for this person's remains to be found, not investigating skill.
