BMI means body mass index. It is meant to describe someone's healthy body weight relative to the individual's height. It is only food for thought because it does not account for all body types. She was at a healthy weight by BMI standards at the time of her disappearance. Her BMI was 24.41 at the time of her disappearance.

Has Peggy Lynn Alt been found?
As of the time of writing, Peggy Lynn Alt had not been found.
One interesting fact with this case is that she was reported missing on her 18th birthday. Likely, the family knew something was wrong when they did not see her on this special day.
But her disappearance was from two days earlier, March 2nd, 1985. This was a Saturday so perhaps it was not unusual for her to not be seen during the weekend.
Sources on Peggy Lynn Alt's Disappearance
According to multiple sources, including her page The Charley Project, Peggy Lynn Alt packed her belongings on March 2nd, 1985 and left her residence voluntarily. For me, this calls into question her method of transportation.
As a young person, if she was planning to run away, then the chance that she might have been dependent on hitchhiking comes into play. This is a very dangerous mode of transportation that has produced a lot of missing people in the past.
There was little initial interest in this case from authorities. One mystery with the case is that the search for Peggy Alt was halted after just 11 days. Yet, forty years later she remains missing.
There was a major online article about her in 2015 at Leader (Tracy Bruce/March 28th, 2015).
