Glenda Jean Petersen, a missing person, was last heard from on July 4th, 1997 when she was 40. When Glenda disappeared, she was of the Oklahoma City area.

What stands out with this case, is that Glenda was last seen in the company of someone who has been mentioned in her NamUs profile. However, this individual doesn't seem to be known by name.

It is important to note that Glenda had a scar somewhere on her neck. However, if she died near the time of her disappearance, this is not likely to be an identifier if she is found due to putrefaction.

What is particularly important to note is that her jaw was artificial. This is information that might match to a Jane Doe, even if only skeletal remains are present. Furthermore, I found one source that said Glenda had a cast on her right leg at the time of her disappearance. This is very important for identifying her from a Jane Doe. Any Jane Doe that is found with a cast or a healed fracture or broken bone in the right leg should have the case details cross-referenced against Glenda's. Any Jane Doe with both an artificial jaw and a healed right-leg fracture should be considered as an exceptionally strong candidate for a rule out against Glenda.

She also had a tattoo of the letter G on her left forearm and the letter B on her left hand. Tattoos are like scars in that they may not help identify someone if that person has been dead for decades.

Other details include that was Glenda last seen at Thunderbird Lake. This is State Park that is southeast of Oklahoma City and due-east of Norman, Oklahoma.
